Sam became Chief Executive of MFMS Channel Islands in 2019 overseeing the executive boards and the strategic and operational functions in the Channel Islands for its international fiduciary and accountancy businesses.

In July 2026 he oversaw the rebranding of the fiduciary business to MFMS with the accountancy businesses in the Channels Islands group retaining the Moore Stephens brand.

He holds various executive and non-executive positions across the Channel Islands regulated businesses and in the wider international MFMS Group, whilst continuing to work with long-standing and new client relationships.

His expertise is in complex and international matters providing wealth structuring solutions for succession, wealth management, international & tax planning, investment and philanthropy, to UHNW individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, large families and family offices.

Before becoming CEO, Sam had over 20 years’ experience in private client and corporate services operating under local and international regulations. Having joined Reads in 1999 he went on to spend 11 years with the firm working within trust and corporate services through several name changes to Intertrust (now CSC).

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), he joined Moore Stephens Guernsey in 2010 to head up private client services and was appointed Managing Director in 2013 until Nick Ford succeeded him in 2020.
